The Joint CLE Committee of CBA-PEI and the Law Society of PEI present this course in conjunction with the Family Law Section of the Department of Justice and Public Safety, the Steering Committee of the Prince Edward Island Parenting Coordination Society, and the Law Foundation of PEI.
The course will satisfy the family arbitration training requirements to act as a Parenting Coordinator and is intended to provide family law practitioners and parenting coordinators with a basic level overview of the legislation, case law, procedural steps, ethical dilemmas and practical aspects of family law arbitration including as it relates to parenting coordination practice. Drawing on Ontario case law and experience, and in the context of PEI’s legislation, the trainers will use lectures, presentations, case studies, group discussion, demonstration, role play, and feedback.
This training will provide 13 hours of mandatory CPD credits.
